I am a fine art painter who is influenced by the gardens and oceans of the world
Over the last 5 years, Virginia Beach native Ed Obermeyer has quickly become a Boardwalk Art Show fan favorite. Prior to pursing his passion of painting full time, Ed shared his gift with thousands of local children, as an art teacher with the Virginia Beach Public schools. He retired with 34 years of dedicated service, being recognized three times as teacher of the year. He is now able to focus all of his attention on his artwork, which is expressed through his unique style. He is influenced by a love of the ocean, immersive journeys which explore the uniqueness of different cultures, and the pattern paintings of many famous artists.
